The Iranian Association of Medical Equipment Exporters was established in 2010 with independent legal and financial status, as a non-political and non-profit entity, pursuant to Clause “K” of Article 5 of the Law on the Establishment of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Iran, and Article 5 of the Law on Continuous Improvement of the Business Environment, with the approval and under the supervision of the Iran Chamber of Commerce. The Association was formed with an unlimited term of activity and a nationwide geographical scope across Iran.

In continuation of its activities, in 2020, it was renamed the Iranian Association of Medical Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters.

At present, more than 140 companies engaged in the manufacturing and export of medical, dental, laboratory, orthopedic, and related equipment are members of this Association.
