The Owzan Company was established on the 7th of September 1969, and in 2010, the Shahid Dr. Faghihi factory, which had been developed in 1987 to produce dental amalgam, has merged the company’s operations. The production unit currently produces two sets of products called Amalgam powder and Amalcap. The Amalcap is produced and marketed in two forms, Cinalux (1, 2, 3, and 5 units) and Cinasilver (1, 2, and 3 units). In the field of import, the company is considered internationally active. Last year, the company imported medical equipment and pharmaceutical raw materials worth about $40 million and sold amalgam powder to Afghanistan for the equivalent of 4 billion Rial in informal exports.

The sale and consumption of amalgam powder on domestic markets like a few European countries have been banned since 1990. Furthermore, the production of powder products for amalgam production was far from avoidance and the product can be sold in most countries, the company had to extract the silver from powder products and re-enter it into the production and raw material cycles, incurring extraction costs in addition to production costs during these years.

As a result, exporting the manufactured product is one of the significant goals of the company, and it will be achieved by following the present document. This document was written for 2021 to 2023, and revisions will be made based on environmental analysis annually.
